A Cozy Escape with Room for Improvement
We enjoyed a relaxing stay in the Caldecott Cottage. The ambiance was charming, though the music during dinner was quite loud. The staff's friendliness stood out. For future guests, I recommend dining earlier to avoid the noise and ensure a more peaceful meal.

The Classic Double Room offers an intriguing mix of vintage charm and modern quirks, making it cozy yet unique. The location is prime, situated conveniently for exploring nearby attractions, allowing easy access to the heart of the city.
Despite its charm, the tea tray could use a serious upgrade. swapping out UHT milk for proper milk and adding more tea and coffee options would enhance the experience. The cleanliness could be improved, as I noticed dust lingering around commonly uncleaned areas, like the Blu-ray player. the hotel has some quirks—the bathroom in the Superior Double felt a bit too open, which might not be ideal for everyone. The noise level from the nearby bar in the Secret Garden can get lively, so if you value a peaceful night, that could be a consideration. Finally, the advertised restaurant is not as upscale as promised. the menu felt a bit watered down and a like a letdown compared to what was shown online.

Excellent location for a family getaway
The hotel's secret garden was an absolute highlight for us, it felt like stepping into another world, perfect for the kids to run around while we relaxed. the breakfast was cooked to order and had an outstanding variety, worth waking up for, that's for sure.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but still acceptable given the experience we had.

Quirky decor and great location
I loved the quirky decor throughout the hotel. it really added character and made the stay feel unique. The location is also a huge plus, as it's conveniently close to local attractions. the noise from private events can be disruptive, so soundproofing might need attention.

The quirky decor throughout the hotel struck me as unique, especially the animal murals and charming room themes, creating an engaging atmosphere. The cocktail menu offered a variety of unique options, which made for a great way to unwind in the lively bar area.
I faced a bit of a problem with parking arrangements—finding a spot was inconvenient, and navigating the lot wasn’t the easiest with the setup. while the breakfast options were alright, I had expected something a bit more substantial. the poached eggs were reminiscent of boiled ones, not quite hitting the mark. Lastly, the noise levels from nearby events were noticeable, especially on weekends, which could be a distraction if you’re looking to catch some quality rest.
